Healthcare Knowledge You Can Count On
HEALi helps people across Southern Africa know when they need care right where they already are, on WhatsApp. No download, no new app to trust.
Just a clear answer, built with clinicians and calibrated to the diseases, resources, and realities of where you live: go now, wait a day, see someone this week, or care for yourself safely at home.

OUR SOLUTION
Health guidance
built for the realities of Southern Africa
01
Closing the access gap
Southern Africa's lowest-density regions have a fraction of the physicians recommended for safe care. HEALi is built to meet that gap, starting on WhatsApp in the markets where we can reach people safely today, with an explicit roadmap to reach further.
02
Context-aware triage
Describe your symptoms in your own words. HEALi asks clinically grounded follow-up questions and gives one of four clear answers; emergency, urgent, routine, or self-care, calibrated for the diseases most common here, not a generic global baseline.
03
Community-First Design
Built around how people in Southern Africa actually seek care. We start on WhatsApp, the channel people already trust, and we're building toward partnerships with community health workers so that trust doesn't rest on a single channel alone.
04
Clinical Rigour
Tested against HealthBench, an open clinical AI benchmark built with rubrics from 262 physicians. Every result is reviewed by our clinical advisory team, and we're expanding and independently verifying that testing as we go before it informs any claim about deployment.
05
Scalable Partnerships
HEALi's business model is built on institutional partnerships with healthcare systems, insurers, and clinic networks so the model can sustain itself well beyond any single grant or pilot, rather than relying on one.
THE CHALLENGE WE'RE ADDRESSING
The knowledge gap is as deadly as
the resource gap
Much of global clinical research, and the AI increasingly built on it, has been shaped by data that doesn't reflect the communities it's now being positioned to serve. The clearest documented example: pulse oximeters, validated mainly on light skin tones, were shown during COVID-19 to overestimate blood oxygen in patients with darker skin, prompting new regulatory guidance in 2024–25.
This isn't a Southern African problem with a local face. It's a global one, and the communities HEALi serves sit at its clearest evidence.
HEALi exists to respond to both sides of that gap: the immediate one, people making high-stakes care decisions alone, and the structural one, a medical knowledge base that hasn't yet adequately represented the people it will most shape in the years ahead.

OUR GOAL
To protect what matters most
We believe every person, regardless of where they live, how much money they have, or how far they are from a clinic, deserves to know: "Do I need help now?"
That question goes unanswered for too many people today, not because no one cares, but because no one has built the answer for them, and built it honestly enough to be trusted with it.
We're building it carefully, transparently, and with the evidence to back every claim we make about it.
OUR FOUNDATIONS
Strength that speaks for itself
HEALi starts where WhatsApp already has deep trust and reach and we're candid that reach isn't even across the region yet. Our roadmap is built to extend it deliberately, market by market, rather than assume one channel gets us there.
Equity
WhatsApp-first, so there's nothing to install, no storage to spare, and no unfamiliar brand to trust before someone gets an answer. It's the fastest way to reach people today and the first step in a wider roadmap, not the whole answer.
Availability
Earned through the channel people already trust, clinical oversight on every rubric we test against, and a plain commitment: we publish where HEALi underperforms, not just where it succeeds.

PARTNERSHIPS
Creating Mutual Value
HEALi invites partnerships with organisations seeking measurable impact alongside commercial viability. A product validated and scaled in Southern Africa becomes a model for every market where the knowledge gap exists.
Corporate and Insurance
Partners
Turn unpredictable health costs into a workforce advantage. Fewer unnecessary claims, fewer avoidable absences, and a visible commitment to the people you employ.

Foundations and Development Organisations
Deploy technology built for measurable, generational impact with a governance model designed so the communities HEALi serves are also the ones who benefit from it.

Clinics, Hospitals and Ministries of Health
Extend your reach without extending your resources. HEALi prepares people before they arrive, easing pressure on frontline staff, and is built to integrate with national health system infrastructure as it scales.
